Online Event: GraphRAG in Practice: When Vector Search Is Not Enough.

I’m happy to share that I’ll be speaking again at the Azure User Group Munich, as part of our recurring meetup series held every second Tuesday of the month. 🎀

In my next session, I’ll talk about GraphRAG that I find especially interesting right now.

Many current AI solutions are built on vector search and classic RAG patterns. These approaches are powerful, practical, and often fully sufficient. But they also have limits β€” especially when we need to understand not only similar content, but also the relationships between pieces of information. 🧠

That is where GraphRAG comes into play. πŸ”—

In this session, I’ll provide a compact and practical introduction to GraphRAG, explain how it differs from traditional RAG approaches, and discuss when it actually makes sense to use it. My goal is to make the topic accessible without overcomplicating it, and to focus on real-world value rather than abstract theory. ⚑

🎯 We’ll look at:

  • the basics of GraphRAG
  • how it compares to vector-based retrieval
  • where graph-based approaches can improve context and explainability
  • when the simpler solution is still the better one

As always, I’m looking forward not only to presenting, but also to the discussion afterwards. 🀝 These community sessions are always a great opportunity to exchange ideas, hear different perspectives, and learn from each other.
